    I like how in the center it appears as if the shadow of the … shadow is doing something a little different. A warping of a school crossing sign.

      Yes! I did have something like that in mind. The “shadow” of the girl (the one on the right) you can view as connected in whatever way with the paler shadow (the one of a boy, although the represented gender may not be clear). It *is* a warping of a road sign, one that says, “Caution, Watch For Children.” I think they have these signs around schools, but this particular one was beside a city park in Atlanta. The sign itself, much of the top obscured, is in the background, in white. I like how the center turned out as well…originally it was a little different, first w/ just the girl, then with two, then taking the boy’s figure, which suited some of the things I wanted to suggest better and also worked better aesthetically.
